The Perfect Storm

I haven’t written anything in several days. The truth is, I haven't had the time, and honestly, I haven't had the desire either. With everything happening in this country and around the world, I couldn't think of anything to say because we are living through a type of stress that is beyond our control—and this is despite the fact that I decided to stop watching the news years ago.
I remember two things happening back in 2020. First, they were driving us crazy with constant global news about that disease they called Coronavirus; and of course, they later changed the name because the Corona beer brand began to complain. Second, the president at the time was Trump, and every day he was on TV talking "nonsense." It was a total circus, and it has only worsened in his second term because of the people advising him. Those are the two reasons why I don't watch or listen to the news anymore.
Almost all news is bad, and of course, they do it to sell more. There are people who have a genuine addiction to it.
As I mentioned at the start, there are many concerns right now. We have a war in the Middle East with Iran, where the U.S. has aligned with Israel, and they are bombing Iran and vice versa. It’s a massive problem because there is the potential for a coalition to form between China, Russia, North Korea, and Iran. At the same time, Trump is fighting with Spain and the rest of Europe instead of seeking the support of our allies.
Directly related to this conflict, gas prices are rising. Around 20% of the world's oil passes through the Strait of Hormuz; oil companies are taking advantage of this to hike prices, and when people panic, they rush to fill their tanks, which ultimately causes shortages.
Aside from that, there is another quite problematic issue: the Epstein list. According to experts and rumors, our leader is on that list, and it’s not for his "pretty face." I don't want to say too much about this, but I think we all know what is happening.
I have lived in the U.S. for almost 48 years. It has never been an easy country, but right now, several very serious problems have converged into what feels like "the perfect storm."

No he escrito nada en varios días. Lo que pasa es que no he tenido tiempo y, la verdad, tampoco he tenido ganas. Con todas las cosas que están pasando en este país y en el mundo, no se me ha ocurrido nada porque estamos viviendo un tipo de estrés que no podemos controlar. Y eso que hace unos años decidí dejar de ver las noticias.
Recuerdo que en el 2020 ocurrieron dos cosas. Primero, nos estaban volviendo locos con las constantes noticias de todas partes del mundo acerca de esa enfermedad que llamaban el Coronavirus; y claro, después cambiaron el nombre porque la marca de cerveza Corona empezó a quejarse. Segundo, el presidente en ese entonces era Trump y todos los días salía en televisión a hablar "tontería y media". La verdad era un circo, y la situación ha empeorado en su segundo mandato por las personas que lo están aconsejando. Esas son las dos razones por las cuales no veo ni escucho las noticias.
Casi todas las noticias son malas y, por supuesto, lo hacen para vender más. Hay gente que tiene una verdadera adicción a ese contenido.
Como dije al comienzo, hay muchas preocupaciones en este momento. Tenemos una guerra en Medio Oriente con Irán, donde EE. UU. se ha alineado con Israel y están bombardeando a Irán y viceversa. Es un problema enorme porque existe el riesgo de que se forme una coalición entre China, Rusia, Corea del Norte e Irán. Al mismo tiempo, Trump se está peleando con España y el resto de Europa, en vez de buscar el respaldo de nuestros aliados.
Directamente relacionado con este conflicto, los precios de la gasolina están subiendo. Alrededor del 20% del petróleo mundial pasa por el Estrecho de Ormuz; las compañías petroleras se están aprovechando para subir los precios y la gente, cuando entra en pánico, corre a llenar el tanque de su auto, lo que termina provocando escasez.
Aparte de eso, hay otro asunto bastante problemático: la lista de Epstein. Según los expertos y los rumores, nuestro líder aparece en esa lista, y no precisamente por su "linda cara". No quiero mencionar mucho sobre esto, pero creo que todos sabemos lo que está pasando.
Llevo viviendo en EE. UU. casi 48 años. Nunca ha sido un país fácil, pero en estos momentos se han mezclado varios problemas tan graves que se siente como "la tormenta perfecta".
